NEW MUSIC SERIES: Featuring Stacie Rose
"SUITE" SONGS is an intimate, new music series about the personal and collaborative process of song making.
The series features Stacie Rose as the creator and MC, and a myriad of guest musicians she’s invited to a NYC hotel suite for some impromptu music making. Personas will be revealed, lyrics and melody will come to life, as you enter a secret world of creating songs from the ground up. It’s a lively hang, a poetic journey that defies the myth that cities are impersonal, while illustrating the cozy, breeding ground a hotel suite can be for intimate, soulful, collaborations. Each city has its pulse; each hotel suite has its vibe, and every group of musicians bring a unique spirit and sensibility to the process of song making. The party begins in NYC and is destined for other cities.
The MISSION of "SUITE" SONGS is to create content (micro-documentary style webisodes) capturing the impromptu, essence of songwriting through collaboration, in a mystery setting with guest musicians, who will be revealed throughout the day. It's a hotel room hang/jam including an intimate look at the process and emotion that goes into songwriting.The end result will be a more fully realized version of a song, new recordings from that hotel suite, and eventually a body of music with an acoustic backdrop that will be served up as soulful, rootsy, fare, with exiting artists, that could attract sponsors for future episodes in NYC and beyond. The songs will be downloadable, and eventually released as an EP or compilation series.
The IDEA behind “SUITE” SONGS is that these could take place in any city with any number of collaborators and new songs. The hotel suite is a clean slate and place to draw inspiration. The pieces will be exposing and candid. Since Stacie Rose is an authentic, independent, emerging artist, award winning songwriter, and born collaborator, she will be hosting the various episodes and act a catalyst in writing and matching the songs, with the guests and suites, and continuing to mix things up.
These videos are being created to draw people into a very private uncharted world of song making. People who have imagined big cities as cold, scary places are about to discover a true hotbed for collaboration and a friendly artistic community. “Making It” in music today means differnet things to different people. We feel that success is something which can be defined by the individual artist, through the joy of song making with kindred musicians.
